I offer a structured course comprising of three modules for: beginners, intermediate and advanced students which
takes you step by step through the basic skills and techniques, follow on tuition can be booked as required.
You can receive personal tuition or in a small group and have your own piece of artwork plus instruction handouts to take away with you at the end of each module.
Materials, lunch and refreshments are included in the cost of the course.

Module 1 - Beginner (Six hour course)

A comprehensive look at the different types and makes of airbrush and related equipment which you can try out through the classes.
Care and maintenance of equipment to ensure reliability and performance.
The correct use of the many different types of paint and their properties.
The efficient use of Compressors, airlines and working pressures.
Hands on basic techniques for practice.
I will cut a masking kit of a moving Eagle which I will demonstrate for you to follow with your own version.
Plus highlighting, starbursts, water blobs and cloud effects will be practiced to help with your control of the airbrush and masks.

Module 2 - Intermediate (Six hour course)

An exploration of the ways to produce and transfer an image.
An in-depth look at the various techniques involved in painting on different materials and surfaces.
Practice with different types of masking and their application (there are many different types available)

Using the techniques you have learnt from module 1 and 2 we will produce a waving flag with shading and highlights and a sample of lettering on a curved surface using transparent and solid colour.
With a little practice you will easily be able to create basic images either of your own design or replicate existing basic images to a satisfying standard.

Module 3 - Advanced (Six hour course)

A Comprehensive look at the preparation of paintwork bases and base coating processes.
An exploration of the techniques involved in stripping, re-fitting and masking a crash helmet.
Discussion and Exploration of freehand techniques accompanied by a demonstration for you to copy.
(I have several images for this purpose depending on what you feel most capable of.)

We will of course reserve time for your questions to discuss and explain the material in our instruction handouts regarding useful information and equipment.

As tuition is on a one to one basis we can be quite flexible with class content. Individual requirements are easily catered for, please let us know what these might be, so we can prepare a class tailored to your specific needs.
Six hour modules are priced at £120 each, with a start time of 10am.
All materials, post course help, lunch and refreshments are included in the price.
Classes can be booked for any day of the week, including Saturday and Sunday (two weeks notice required.)
